The Belgian Automobile and Cycle Federation, Febiac, on Monday expressed consternation at reports in the German press that diesel-emission tests had been conducted on monkeys and humans in Belgium. “The Febiac is appalled,” the federation said in a press release, describing such practices as “absolutely inadmissible” and stressing that it has “no knowledge” of such tests being conducted in the country.
“Such methods of research are totally incompatible with the values and principles we share and represent,” Febriac said. “This news again tarnishes the image of our sector.”
