Torfs shoe company and the EASI group, which specializes in management software, won the “Best Workplaces” prize for 2017, awarded on Tuesday by the Vlerick Business School. The prizes were based on the results of the annual Best Workplaces survey, conducted by the Great Place to Work Institute Belgium in partnership with the Vlerick Business School and Jobat/Mark Magazine. The winners were picked by 25,000 employees.
Thirty-five Belgian businesses obtained the “Great Place to Work” title.
A great place to work is an organization where people trust their management, are proud of their jobs and enjoy being at work”, the organisers of the event said.
Torfs won the award for the fifth year running in the Big Businesses category (more than 500 workers), while EASI won it for the fourth consecutive year in the Small Businesses category (fewer than 500 workers).
“These organisations are top employers with a people-oriented organizational culture”, the organisers said.
