Anti-pollution cheating: Federal Prosecutor's Office opens international cooperation file

The Federal Prosecutor's Office has opened an international cooperation file. This is part of the investigations into the anti-pollution software fraud, of which Volkswagen has been found guilty, La Dernière Heure revealed on Monday.

The Public Prosecutor will thus coordinate the various files which were opened in Belgium after the scandal came to light.

A complaint had already previously been made in Brussels for fraud, misleading and unfair commercial practices, and both creation and use of false and fraudulent data.

The first meeting, called by Volkswagen Germany, will be held on March 16th before the Brussels Regional Court.
