Philippe Godin has been appointed President of the Francophone Football Clubs Association (ACFF) during the General Assembly held on Saturday.
A lawyer from Liège, Godin was chosen by the newly elected members of the Board of Directors as announced in a statement released by the ACFF.
Godin entered the football world in 2018, serving on the Executive Committee of the Belgian Football Union (URBSFA). He later joined the URBSFA board, became its second vice-president in 2019, and then vice-president in 2022. He succeeds David Delferière as ACFF president.
The statement emphasised that “the new ACFF Board of Directors reflects a strong commitment to openness, expertise, and gender parity.” Mylène Hozay and Valérie Leclercq will serve as first and second vice-presidents, with Benjamin Vasseur as treasurer.
Other board members include Xavier Delattre, Jean-François De Sart, Laurent Vanduille, Carine Lheureux, Fabienne Laguesse, Didier Klerx, Laurence Henry, and David Delferière.
Delferière, who served as president since 2019, was honoured and “thanked for his vision, energy, and dedication to the development of Francophone amateur football.”
