Over a thousand students marched silently in Prague on Thursday to commemorate the victims of a fatal shooting that occurred at Charles University two weeks ago.

The solemn procession marched through the Czech capital, concluding at the main building of the Faculty of Arts and Philosophy, where the tragedy took place. Participants formed a symbolic human chain.

On 21 December, a 24-year-old student opened fire on campus, claiming the lives of fourteen individuals before taking his own. Twenty-four people were also injured in what became the worst shooting incident in Czech history.

Investigators are convinced that prior to the campus shooting, the student had also killed his father and a man who was out walking with his baby in a forest.
