A passenger plane caught fire at Busan Airport in South Korea on Tuesday, Yonhap News Agency reports. There are no reported casualties.
All 169 passengers and seven crew members were safely evacuated using an inflatable slide. Three people sustained minor injuries during the evacuation.
The rear of the Air Busan aircraft reportedly caught fire at 22:30 local time. Photos show flames emerging from the roof of the aircraft.
The plane was travelling from Hong Kong to Busan. It is not yet known whether the fire started in the air or after landing.
The incident occurred just a month after South Korea experienced one of its deadliest aviation accidents.
In late December, a Jeju Air passenger plane was destroyed after crashing into a wall shortly after landing at Muan International Airport. Of the 181 people on board, 179 lost their lives in the crash. The preliminary investigative report found signs of bird strikes: feathers and duck DNA were present in both engines.
