A police officer was injured in the stabbing in a house in the Dutch town of Hoofddorp, just west of Schiphol Airport in the province of North Holland.
Local press are speaking of more victims, but the Dutch police did not want to give further information, Belga News Agency reports. Two people reportedly died in the stabbing, but the police did not want to confirm that either.
What exactly happened is also not known yet.
An investigation is being carried out in and around the house on the Fanny Blankers-Koenlaan street, which has been cordoned off. Many emergency services are present.
According to the regional radio and television broadcaster NH, the stabbing happened just after 06:00 on Wednesday morning. Photos also show a police car with traces of blood on it.
