Fenix International, the company that owns OnlyFans, is in negotiations to sell the UK-based website to a group of investors for about $8 billion (over €7 billion), Reuters reported on Friday, citing anonymous sources.
The investor group is led by Forest Road Company, an investment firm based in Los Angeles, USA.
OnlyFans, headquartered in London, is a website where individuals can offer subscribers access to personal, usually sexual images in exchange for a monthly fee. The site gained immense popularity during the Covid-19 pandemic and is best known for hosting pornographic content that is banned on most other social networks.
OnlyFans is owned by Ukrainian-born billionaire Leonid Radvinski.
