The Sycamore Gap Tree, a majestic maple, was located by Hadrian’s Wall in the north of England. It gained global fame after appearing in the 1991 film 'Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves,' with Kevin Costner.
Daniel Graham and Adam Carruthers have never explained the reason for their act.
The majestic maple, which won the 2016 England Tree of the Year award, was illegally felled in 2023, but has since sprouted from the stump.
