TikTok’s European business made its first annual profit in 2025 as a surge in users lifted revenue, although the company also set aside more than $1 billion (about €855.6 million) for legal cases and fines.

According to the 2025 annual report of TikTok Information Technologies UK Limited, revenue rose by about 46% from the previous year to $9.2 billion (about €7.9 billion)

The company posted a profit before interest and tax of almost $452 million. A year earlier, it had recorded an operating loss of $485 million (about €415 million).

TikTok said 2025 was a turning point for its business serving users in the UK and the European Union, with revenue growing much faster than costs.

It added that online sales through TikTok and streaming activities also contributed to stronger earnings. At the same time, the company reserved more than $1 billion (about €855.6 million) for legal matters. TikTok said this was linked to a series of European fines that it is challenging.
