French police have arrested 80 individuals on suspicion of child sexual exploitation.
The arrests occurred across 53 departments, including two overseas territories, during the past week.
Among the suspects are two school teachers, one of whom allegedly possessed indecent images of children who were his own students.
Another arrested suspect is a night supervisor at a home for children with disabilities.
French Interior Minister, Gérald Darmanin, praised what he called a “major crackdown on child exploitation,” confirming that investigations are ongoing.
