Belgium qualified for the World Cup semifinals after beating Brazil (1-2) in the quarterfinals, Friday, in Kazan.
For Toby Alderweireld, the Red Devils won thanks to their willpower. “Everyone says that we are the golden generation. That generates more pressure. In this competition, we have proven it. Thanks to our willpower, and with a bit of luck, it is true.”

It was a match where you had to stay calm. “Some boys cried after the final whistle. We have given it all to get there. Some of us could hardly do more, and they suffered from cramps; but they always jumped in front of the opponents’ shots. It was really beautiful. Let’s enjoy it. Now, let’s concentrate on the game against France.”

“Belgium is a small country. And we have won against the great Brazil. It is an important step.”
