The third StrEat Fest kicks off at 17:00 this Thursday at Tour & Taxis in Brussels, lasting until Sunday evening. This event will host more than 100 chefs, all serving dishes that embody the spirit of street food.
The goal of Streat Fest? To make any kind of cuisine – Michelin starred, trendy or gourmet – accessible to food enthusiasts by inviting famous chefs to cook at the event.
Notably, the event starts on Thursday with the participation of chef Yves Mattagne of La Villa Lorraine and French chef Florent Ladeyn from Auberge du Vert Mont; Ladeyn will participate throughout the four-day affair.
Mattagne will embrace an Indian theme, offering naan bread with raita sauce in both vegetarian and meat-filled options, while Ladeyn introduces his famous Maroilles fries or hay-smoked mayo, and wild garlic focaccia with mortadella.
In addition to revamped street food stalls, festival-goers can enjoy 150 cooking workshops, 40 concerts, DJ sets and performances, a grocery area, a mini vintage market, a beauty bar, and masterclasses.

The "street corner" offers activities to repurpose used materials and experience street art. For the younger attendees, a thoughtfully programmed “kids corner” will entertain children on Saturday and Sunday.
Since its inception in 2022, the festival has expanded from 50 to 100 chefs, and the event area has almost doubled in size to occupy the 9,000 square metres of sheds 1 and 2 at Tour & Taxis.
Last year, Streat Fest attracted around 12,000 people. This year, the organisers set their sights on welcoming 15,000 visitors over the festival’s four days. Entry costs 14 euros, while food portion prices range between €3 and €6.
