Firefighters from the Hainaut-East emergency zone responded to a significant fire at Le Nirvana Bar in Charleroi in the early hours of Monday morning.
Two firefighting units were dispatched at around 03:50 to tackle the blaze at the popular bar on Boulevard de l'Yser.
Upon arrival, they found the building fully engulfed in flames. A neighbouring building was evacuated as a precaution. No casualties were reported, according to Hainaut-East emergency services. Firefighters remained on the scene until around 07:30.
Officials noted the fire's rapid spread and have suggested that the cause may be suspicious.
The Charleroi Public Prosecutor's Office was notified. A fire expert was appointed to investigate the cause of the blaze.
