The socialist union FGTB-ABVV announced on Monday that unions will gather again on 27 June to protest against the new Federal Government's policies.
The unions are targeting the Federal Government's "imbalances," according to a statement by FGTB-ABVV. They argue that social security is under pressure, wages are nearly frozen, and public services are being forced to cut costs. Meanwhile, corporate profits are reportedly reaching record highs, and inequality is increasing.
The unions oppose what they call a dismantling of social protections.
The protest will take place in Brussels, though the exact form it will take is yet to be decided.
A strike notice will be filed to protect those who wish to participate.
