Construction work near Charleroi Airport (BSCA) has caused long queues and delays for passengers at certain times over the last two days.
This was confirmed Nathalie Pierard, the airport’s spokesperson, on Wednesday morning.
The affected roads lead to a roundabout close to the airport – with the works aiming to renew surfaces.
Despite alternative routes having been established, drivers are not consistently adhering to them, leading to longer queues and temporary delays.
On Tuesday, delays exceeded 30 minutes at certain points.
All airport car parks remain accessible despite the construction. BSCA advises motorists to use the alternative routes for easier access.
The construction is expected to be completed by Friday, 20th June.
