Belgium's top federal ministers ended their core cabinet meeting early Tuesday morning without reaching an agreement on the so-called summer accord, according to Belga.
Monday’s agenda included topics such as the merger of Brussels police zones, tax reform, the climate plan, and the funding of social welfare centres in the context of limiting unemployment benefits over time.
The core cabinet had been meeting since 18:30 on Monday.
Sources indicate that progress has been made on the issues, though no further details are available.
The federal top ministers will reconvene on Thursday from 08:00 to aim for a final agreement.
