Dutch retailer Action, known as a non-food discounter, announced on Thursday it opened 125 new stores in the first half of the year, reaching a total of 3,043 stores across 13 countries.

In Germany, Action’s second-largest market after France, its 600th store opened in Bremen. In Poland, the company surpassed 400 stores with the opening in Poznań. Action is on track to add at least one store per day on average by 2025, aiming for around 370 new stores this year, welcoming an average of 20.2 million customers weekly.

Action has also entered the Swiss market and plans to open its first Romanian store in September.

In early June, Action celebrated the symbolic opening of its 3,000th store in Italy. To mark this milestone, employees received a bonus of up to €300 and a special anniversary gift in appreciation of their dedication and commitment.
