The Austrian capital of Vienna have been chosen to host the next edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, the organisers announced on Wednesday.
The event is scheduled to take place between 12 and 16 May 2026. Vienna beat Innsbruck to the hosting rights as the only other city to formally submit a bid before the 4 July deadline.
The selected venue for the occasion is the 16,152-capacity Wiener Stadthalle. It marks the third time Austria hosts the contest, with the 1967 and 2015 editions also having taken place in the capital. The latest edition in May this year was won by JJ's entry titled "Wasted Love."
Belgium's participation in the 2026 edition has not been confirmed officially, with VRT stating on 9 July that public broadcaster RTBF had not formally decided to take part, although the selection process is set to proceed as usual.
