Ready for a laugh? There are many top English stand-up comedy shows, open mics, and nightlife events in Brussels, featuring free weekly performances.
Due to Brussels cosmopolitan nature, it has a thriving multi-lingual stand-up comedy scene with a little bit of something for everyone. Lucky for any English-speaking visitors or residents of the city, there are local comedy shows in their native tongue every week.
If that interests you, The Brussels Times has compiled a list of weekly and bi-weekly shows and open mics for English-language stand-up comedy in Brussels.
The Comedy Bunker
Side Splitters Comedy Club teamed up with the venue Comedy Ket to bring you the Comedy Bunker, an English stand-up comedy open mic which takes place every Tuesday, starting at 20:00 at The Comedy Ket.
Entrance to the show is free, but donations are collected after the show. It is encouraged to donate if you had a good time, but not required.

Academy Comedy Nights is a bi-weekly English stand-up comedy show hosted by the Belgian Comedy Network at Latroupe Grand Place on Boulevard Anspach.
It’s free to enter, but it operates on a donation scheme much like the other shows we have listed.
Its next edition takes place on Thursday 28 May at 2o:00.
PowerPoint Comedy Night
PowerPoint comedy night is a bi-weekly stand-up comedy show in which six comedians read from six randomly selected PowerPoints with no preparation and attempt to make light of the content on the slides.
The show is free, but welcomes donations afterwards if you enjoyed yourself.
The next iteration of the show takes place at l’Amère à Boire in Saint-Gilles on June 10 at 20:00.
Ticket information
All of these shows have tickets available on Eventbrite, although the shows are free and don't all require you to have a ticket.
The Brussels Times recommends that you get a ticket anyway to ensure that the space isn't full and help the organisers plan the event better.
