Antwerp police have arrested three minors suspected of drug trafficking after two 15-year-olds were found carrying cocaine believed to be intended for sale.

The two boys were stopped on 14 August during a police check while riding a moped. Both were below the legal age to drive it.

Officers found 22 wraps of cocaine on one of the teenagers and a large amount of cash on the other. They were then taken into custody.

Police later carried out searches at the two addresses where the youths live. At one property, officers found 13 wraps of cocaine, a set of scales and packaging materials.

Cash was found at the second address. During the searches, police also identified and arrested the 17-year-old brother of one of the boys.

In total, officers seized 28 grams of cocaine, €650 in cash, a scooter and mobile phones. The three suspects have since appeared before a youth court judge.
