A body was found near the football field in Onhaye on Monday afternoon, where a police operation is underway, the Belga News Agency has learnt from its correspondent on the scene.

In a statement issued at around 15:00, the Namur Public Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that a police operation was taking place in the municipality of Onhaye, but gave no further details.

The Prosecutor’s Office said more information would likely be made available later in the day.

Several police vans were at the scene, and a vehicle belonging to a funeral services company was also seen nearby.

The discovery may be linked to the disappearance of 29-year-old Bryan Brigou and his five-year-old son Tyméo, who have been missing since late June, as the father’s car was found on 28 June in the car park of the Onhaye football pitch. However, the possible connection has not been confirmed by the authorities.
