The deadline is soon approaching for anyone wishing to receive assistance from FPS Finance with filling out their tax return, as applications will be closed in 10 days.
Belgian taxpayers, as previously explained, have until 30 June to complete their paper tax return and until 15 July to enter it on the Tax-on-Web website via MyMinfin.be. Residents who hire an accountant have until 30 September to file their taxes.
To facilitate this often complex procedure, FPS Finance had offered to support individuals by giving in-person appointments to walk them through the process.
- Taxes for cross-border teleworking to change from end of June
- Employees in Belgium pay highest income taxes in 38 OECD countries
The deadline for making an appointment is Wednesday 29 June. Those wishing to make use of the service are advised to book an appointment by phoning 02 575 56 67 as soon as possible.
Assistance is only available by appointment; anyone visiting the FPS Finance offices without an appointment will not be helped.
The federal service reports that more than 226,000 appointments have been made so far, 90% of which were for assistance by telephone.
