Rail traffic disrupted between Leuven and Haacht

Because of a faulty goods train, rail traffic between Leuven and the Flemish municipality of Haacht has been disrupted since 09:45.

According to Belga News Agency, this defective vehicle was the cause of the disruption and had to be towed away in the Flemish town of Hambos.

As a result, replacement buses will be deployed in both directions, those travelling between Mechelen and Leuven are advised to take the Brussels Airport-Zaventem and Brussels-North routes instead.

According to the SNCB, the disruption is expected to end at 11:30 at the earliest.
