On Tuesday evening, a vegetation fire broke out along the Brussels ring road in Anderlecht.
At around 18:00, the Brussels Fire Brigade were called to a fire at the Olympic Drève, equipped with an extinguisher and a tanker.
They received reinforcements from a Federal Police helicopter, which dropped water on the affected site.

Once the fire was under control, emergency services worked to extinguish it completely to prevent any flare-ups.
A total of 9,000 m² of vegetation had been destroyed by fire, with firefighters using a total of 14,500 litres of water.
The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
