The City of Brussels' municipality has announced that over 160 shopping streets will be illuminated from 23 November to 8 January for the tenth edition of Brussels by Lights, but will be limiting the lighting times due to the energy crisis.
In a press release on Monday, the municipality announced plans for the tenth edition of Brussels by Lights, as 1,600 light cables will be used to light up Brussels’ businesses and allow visitors to observe the artistic decorations in the various neighbourhoods of the capital.
To avoid having to resort to additional energy-intensive illuminations in light of the energy crisis, packs of decorations and -energy lights will be distributed to shopkeepers to embellish their windows.
