The body of a 64-year-old man, believed to have died in suspicious circumstances, was found on Saturday evening at an address in Dendermonde, the East Flanders prosecutor’s office said on Sunday.
The police discovered the body in a house in the entity of Audeghem. There are indications that the victim, identified by Sudinfo as Peter D, was violently killed.
An investigating judge has been appointed to investigate the case. An autopsy of the body is scheduled to take place on Monday.

Three people have been arrested as part of the investigation, but it is not yet known how they are involved with the case. It is thought that the incident may be a case of familicide.
