Dany Boon is set to be the guest of honour at the closure ceremony of the 8th International Comedy Film Festival of Liège (FIFCL) on 6 November, the organisers reveal.
The Festival takes place from 2 to 6 November and will present Boon with the Gold Bull award, along with a plaque in his name on the Walk of Fame on Rue Pont d’Avroy.
Boon, an actor, comedian, musician, director, screenwriter, and producer, is globally renowned for his humour, with works including ‘Nothing to Declare’, ‘The House of Happiness’, ‘Hypochondriac’, ‘Crazy Raid’ and ‘Life for Real’.
Forty feature films and about thirty short films from around the globe will be showcased at the festival.
The festival is unique for programming international comedies spanning sentimental, dramatic, social, romantic, burlesque, noir and family genres. The finest amongst these will be awarded the Gold or Crystal Bull.
