The Belgian seaside town of Coxyde is once again celebrating the work of painter Paul Delvaux with two new exhibitions.

The Floridian event ‘Koket Koksijde’, beautifying the resort at the end of September, is also dedicated to the Belgian artist. Delvaux, who lived happily on the coast, died exactly 30 years ago.

One of the exhibitions, 5+1: Paul Delvaux in dialogue, is on display at the Ten Bogaerde Art Centre. It juxtaposes Delvaux’s work with that of contemporary artists. This can be visited until 29 September.

The Paul Delvaux Museum, located in Saint-Idesbald, is also unveiling a new exhibition. Named Decors and bodies, perfect harmony, it highlights the surreal painter’s body of work.

There’s more. This year’s triennial Koket Koksijde event is also dedicated to the artist. It will run from 19 to 23 September, coinciding with the painter’s birth date on the closing day.
