Guillaume Boutin, the CEO of Proximus, earned over €2.2 million last year, according to the telecom company’s annual report.
Boutin, who is leaving Proximus in mid-May to join the UK’s Vodafone, signed a new six-year contract last year.
The contract included a significant pay rise and a one-time bonus in shares, resulting in him earning almost €1 million more than in 2023.
His fixed salary exceeded €1 million, compared to €587,226 in 2023. Proximus decided to pay Boutin an additional fixed fee of €400,000 gross for his role at Proximus Global, the company’s international division.
The short-term variable compensation, linked to achieving a series of objectives, amounted to €329,604.
The long-term variable compensation was €239,190. The one-time share package was worth €431,250; however, Boutin can only cash in the shares after three years.
