Sports & Leisure Group, a producer of artificial turf based in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium, has been acquired by the Dutch company TenCate Grass.

The Belgian company supplies artificial turf globally for sports such as football, hockey, and tennis.

It operates manufacturing sites in Belgium, Italy, Paraguay, and China, with the capacity to produce over 20 million square metres of artificial grass annually.

TenCate is acquiring all the shares, previously held by investor Sun Capital Partners and other shareholders, including company management.

In 2022, Sports & Leisure Group announced that Belgian footballer Kevin De Bruyne became a minor shareholder.
