Two people were injured in a knife fight at a hair salon on Antoine Dansaert Street, Brussels, on Saturday afternoon, according to the Brussels-Capital/Ixelles police zone.
The incident happened around 16:30 when police were called to the salon for an ongoing altercation. Upon arrival, officers found two injured individuals and administered first aid until emergency services arrived.
The victims were then taken to hospital by urgent medical assistance services, and their injuries are not life-threatening, authorities confirmed.
A judicial exclusion zone was quickly established to secure the area and facilitate initial investigations. The perpetrators fled before police arrived and are currently being sought actively.
The exact circumstances of the incident remain unclear at this stage, and an investigation is underway. “The police are continuing their investigations to identify the perpetrators and understand the context of the events,” stated Commissioner Linda Camarero-Verde, spokesperson for the Brussels-Capital/Ixelles police zone.
