A 29-year-old driver has died after crashing into an electricity pole in Lissewege, Bruges, in West Flanders, local police reported on Friday.
The accident was discovered by a passer-by at around 5 am along Ter Doeststraat.
Emergency services arrived swiftly, but the driver was already dead when they reached the scene.
Local police in Bruges are investigating the circumstances of the crash. Initial findings suggest that no other vehicle was involved.
