Ostend Airport is expanding its range of direct flights. In addition to the familiar destinations Alicante, Malaga, Eskişehir and Hurghada, direct flights will also be operated this summer to Palma de Mallorca and the Canary Islands, among others.
Airline TUI fly is expanding capacity by 5.3%. "Travellers are increasingly consciously choosing comfort and proximity. Departing close to home, short waiting times, and a smooth check-in contribute to a carefree travel experience," said Airport CEO Nathan De Valck.
Specifically, there will now be direct flights to Palma de Mallorca, and flights to Tenerife and Gran Canaria will also operate non-stop throughout the entire summer season.
For Rhodes and Antalya, in addition to the existing combined flight, a direct flight per week is being added to the schedule.
Furthermore, six weekly flights are planned for Alicante. Tenerife accounts for four direct connections per week. Malaga tops the list with daily flights throughout the entire season.
In total, travellers can choose from thirteen destinations in Spain, Greece, Turkey, and Egypt this summer.
Between April and the end of October, the airport expects to welcome around 290,000 passengers. "Our teams work daily to ensure every departure runs as smoothly as possible.
Moreover, together with TUI, we are continuing to work on more direct connections so that travellers reach their destination faster and can enjoy extra comfort, a service that travellers can fully enjoy this summer season," said De Valck.
