The price of diesel and petrol at the pump are set to hit record highs on Saturday, as the developing conflict in Ukraine destabilises global oil markets.

Specifically, petrol 95 (E10) will rise by €0.07 to a maximum of €1.869 per litre at pumps, the energy directorate at SPF Economy announced on Friday. The maximum price of petrol 98 (E5) will climb to €1.977 per litre.

Diesel (B7) will rise by €0.08 to €1.927 per litre. It was only four months ago when diesel prices set records at €1.652 per litre of B7, The Brussels Times previously reported.
