A 26-year-old woman of Polish origin was found dead in a flat near the centre of Roeselare, and prosecutors are treating her death as suspicious.
The body was discovered on Saturday, 15 August, in the West Flanders city, according to the West Flanders public prosecutor’s office.
The case only became public later. Belgian media, including Het Laatste Nieuws, reported that the woman may have been dead for some time before she was found.
The investigation is ongoing, but the prosecutor’s office considers the death suspicious.
