PostNL to expand point network in Belgium

The Dutch postal company PostNL plans to expand its point network by adding 350 new posting points before the end of the year.

The PostNL point network is made up of local businesses that enable consumers to pick up online orders placed via PostNL in their own stores.

In Belgium, there are presently 1,000 PostNL points; the company plans to add 350 more.

Furthermore, Rudy Van Rillaer, general director of PostNL Belgium, announced in a press statement that Belgian consumers would find a PostNL station two kilometres from their house and 750 metres in Brussels.

This is welcome news for the company, which has been under fire lately after an investigative journalist went undercover as a courier and exposed a litany of crimes committed by PostNL and deplorable working conditions.
