A fire broke out in the building of a takeaway restaurant in the Sint-Bavostraat in Wilrijk, Antwerp, on Thursday night.
Antwerp police suspect that the fire was deliberate and malicious. "We think the fire was started intentionally," confirmed a police spokesperson.

A link to the drug scene is not ruled out and the police suspect the fire was possibly an attempted attack.
De-mining service DOVO also attended the scene to ensure that no further escalation occurred. The judicial investigation is now being transferred to the federal police.
