SNCB expects more travellers to head to the Coast this weekend. Therefore, the railway company is deploying eighteen extra trains: nine outbound and nine return, it reported.

The extra trains will run between Welkenraedt and Ostend, Leuven and Ostend, Antwerp and Blankenberge, Hasselt and Blankenberge and Charleroi and Blankenberge.

On Sunday morning, Infrabel is carrying out track works between Brussels-Midi and Hal. As a result, there will be fewer trains to and from the capital until 10:00. A number of trains will then be diverted, including extra trains which will not stop in Brussels.

SNCB advises travellers to consult the online journey planner before their departure, especially those who want to take the train on Sunday morning.

The journey planner takes into account the adjusted train service and also shows the expected crowds on the train.
