Smaakt organic wholemeal rice flour recalled by AFSCA

The Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (AFSCA) has withdrawn organic whole rice flour from the Smaakt brand from sale due to an excessively high aflatoxin content, the Afsca said in a statement on Thursday.

This rice flour is sold in several outlets, including supermarkets belonging to the Delhaize, Carrefour and Colruyt groups. The product has now been recalled to protect consumers.

The products concerned, bags of 400 grams, are lots 52C1323 and 54B2823 whose date of minimum durability (DDM) is between 31 December 2023 and 13 April 2024.

For any further information, you can contact AFSCA's consumer contact point: 0800/13.550 or pointdecontact@afsca.be.
