Police release images of suspects wanted in connection with rape in Brussels

Police have shared a description and images of a suspect and his accomplice in an investigation into a rape in Brussels in January 2025.

The attack happened in the Rue de l'Assistance, near the Brussels Exchange. On 17 January, at around 03:30, a man reportedly approached the victim and held her down before sexually assaulting her. An accomplice, who dropped off the suspect on an e-scooter, stood watching nearby.

The main suspect is a man in his twenties who is around 1.75m tall with a skinny build. He has dark hair and had an undercut, and wore light pants and a dark jacket at the time of the attack. Police specify that the suspect smoked.

His accomplice wore washed jeans, a black jacket and a beanie hat.
