After the death of the British Monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, many new viewers have found their way to the Netflix series ‘The Crown’, writes the trade journal Variety, which is based on figures from the analysis company Whip Media.

Worldwide, hit-TV series The Crown’s viewership has increased nearly four times over the past weekend compared to the previous one, according to Whip Media.

Since 2016, Netflix has portrayed the lives of the British royals in the award-winning series. The first two seasons are about the queen’s early years between family scandals and political crises in the UK.
