American actor and martial artist Chuck Norris has died at the age of 86, his family announced on Friday, describing his passing as sudden and deeply painful.
In an Instagram post, the family wrote: "With heavy hearts, our family shares the sudden passing of our beloved Chuck Norris. Our hearts are broken."
He was admitted to a hospital in Hawaii on Thursday following what was described as a "medical emergency" and died peacefully surrounded by family.
