The President of the Russian oil group Lukoil, Ravil Maganov, died Thursday after falling from the window of a Moscow hospital, announce Russian media and the Reuters news agency, citing anonymous sources.
The man was 67 years old. The Russian private oil group confirmed the death of Ravil Maganov, following a “serious illness” which saw him hospitalised. Lukoil did not provide further details.
For the time being, the police have not given official information on the tragedy. Ravil Maganov, born in 1954, was one of the historical leaders of the group, founded in November 1991.
According to Lukoil, he had proposed the name of the company.

In March, Lukoil was one of the very few Russian companies to call for an end to the Russian offensive in Ukraine, which was followed by an avalanche of Western sanctions against large Russian groups and senior officials.
At the end of April, the billionaire Vaguit Alekperov, then president of the organisation, had resigned a week after being placed on the list of Russian personalities sanctioned by the United Kingdom.
