Climate activists from the environmental group Extinction Rebellion are planning to once again block the A12 near The Hague (the Netherlands) on Saturday to protest the Dutch Government's subsidies to the fossil fuel industry.

The activists have previously conducted dozens of similar actions in the Dutch city.

A march is set to commence from various city locations towards the A12 from midday. Similar demonstrations have taken place around 30 times before, passing by the Dutch Parliament and the Ministry of Economy and Climate.

Saturday's blockade was announced a month ago. The Minister responsible for the climate portfolio, Rob Jetten, believes the demonstration is occurring too early as he intends to present a dismantling of subsidies and other fiscal benefits for the fossil fuel industry next week.
