A person was shot and injured in the knee early Sunday at around 2:00 at night in Jacques Franck Square, Saint-Gilles, according to Brussels-Midi police.
Emergency services dispatched a medical emergency vehicle and an ambulance to the scene. The victim was taken to hospital but is not in a life-threatening condition, confirmed the police spokesperson.
An investigation is underway, though no arrests have been made so far.
