Firefighters rescued a couple and two children trapped in a funicular in Spa, in the Ardennes region of eastern Belgium.
The incident occurred around 1:30 pm on Monday in the funicular connecting the thermal baths to the town centre.
Specialised firefighters from the Reconnaissance and Intervention Group for Perilous Environments (GRIMP) were called to the scene and were able to safely rescue the family.
Initial reports suggest a technical fault caused the cabin to stop, trapping its occupants.
