A man in his sixties died on Monday afternoon after being crushed by a tree in Attert, in the province of Luxembourg.
According to initial reports, the man was carrying out forestry work in the Loo woods when a tree fell and landed on his head, said Luc Quirynen, mayor of the municipality, confirming a report by La Meuse Luxembourg.
The victim, a young retiree from the municipality, died at the scene despite the efforts of the emergency services.
