On Friday, Dour Festival unveiled the first acts for next year's edition, which will include the French band Phoenix and rapper Lomepal, as well as the premiere of 'Le Garage,' a new stage dedicated to rock music.

The festival, which will be hosted in the eponymous Walloon town from 12 to 16 July 2023, has unveiled the first names slated to hit their stages, with organisers deciding to give the festival a French flavour with the programming of Phoenix and Lomepal.

Phoenix, led by frontman Thomas Mars, is a pop-rock band whose music is tinged with electronic sounds and has been a mainstay of the French music scene since the late 1990s. Alongside hits such as "Lisztomania," the band will be performing songs from their latest album "Alpha Zulu."

Furthermore, the rapper Lomepal, who is heavily influenced by 'chanson française' troubadours, has been a regular at the Belgian festival and will be making his fourth appearance at next year's edition with songs from his latest album "Mauvais Ordre."

Finally, the festival's organisers have revealed that a new rock music stage, the 1,000-seat "Le Garage," would debut next year, allowing festival-goers to enjoy rock bands, as well as metal, garage, and punk music.
