The free festival Show Up for Humanity kicked off at midday at the Atomium in Brussels, bringing together over 50 artists and speakers to inspire action towards a more inclusive society, with organisers expecting more than 40,000 visitors.
The event is organised by the non-profit group Worried Citizens, described as “a collective of ordinary people who refuse to remain passive and have had enough.”
Confirmed performers include Axelle Red, Selah Sue, Sandra Kim, Daan, Scylla, Alice on the Roof, Zwangere Guy, Sylvie Kreusch, and Warhaus, while speakers such as David Van Reybrouck, Adélaïde Charlier, Simon Gronowski, and Olivier Vandecasteele will address the audience.
The festival also introduces initiatives such as Speed Date for Humanity, where 15-minute conversations allow participants to transform their concerns into concrete actions by sharing experiences and discussing common challenges.
Additionally, attendees can visit the Action Village, featuring numerous organisations offering ideas and projects to create meaningful change.
The event runs from 12:00 to 23:00, with further details available on the festival’s official website.
